Question 1

How much do custom kitchen cabinets cost in Sacramento?

Accepted Answer

Reform Cabinets custom kitchen cabinets run $300 to $1,200 per linear foot installed, depending on wood species, door style and finish. A typical 25 to 30 linear foot kitchen lands between about $7,500 and $36,000. Every project starts with a free itemized estimate.

Question 2

Are custom cabinets worth it?

Accepted Answer

For rooms with non-standard walls, tall ceilings or a layout you want to keep for 20 years, yes. Custom boxes use the full wall run without filler strips and are built from plywood and hardwood rather than particleboard.

Question 3

How long do custom cabinets take?

Accepted Answer

Plan on 6 to 12 weeks from final measurement to installation for a full kitchen. A vanity or closet is faster. Lead times lengthen in spring and early summer.

Question 4

What is the difference between custom and semi-custom cabinets?

Accepted Answer

Semi-custom cabinets are factory cabinets with limited size and finish modifications. Custom cabinets are built to any dimension from any wood, with any door profile and finish, in a local shop.

Question 5

Does Reform Cabinets do bathroom vanities and closets?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We build kitchen cabinets, bathroom vanity cabinets, closet cabinets, garage cabinets and custom shelving in our Sacramento shop and install them with our own crew.

Question 6

What wood is best for kitchen cabinets?

Accepted Answer

Maple for painted cabinets, white oak or cherry for stained cabinets, and walnut for a premium stained look. All three hardwoods resist dents better than pine or poplar.

Question 7

Do you offer free estimates?

Accepted Answer

Yes. In-home estimates across the Sacramento and Roseville area are free and include a written quote broken down by linear foot, materials and installation.
